Carroll Forensic Team Places in National Competition
Members of the Carroll Forensic Team competed in Las Vegas, Nev., the week of June 15-20.
Ten members of the team qualified for participation in the National Forensic League Tournament in various events. Each event was composed of the top 250 high school students in the nation.
After four days of intense competition, Bryan Campanello placed third in the nation in Congressional Debate. Each session simulated an actual House debate and students were scored on their speeches given. Forrest Wilkinson also made the final round and ranked in the top 24.
Ben Gojer and Kevin Comartin competed in Duo Interpretation and finished in the top 30. Dillon Huff and Connor Huff competed in Public Forum Debate and placed in the top 30.
Carroll was one of five Texas schools that placed in the national tournament
The team is coached by Diane Forbes and Eric Melin.
